The electromagnetic device used in our office differs from the older technology some patients may have experienced elsewhere.
What Happens During a Session?
Before anything begins, Dr. Johnson will talk with you about what’s bothering you and evaluate whether shockwave therapy makes sense for your needs. If it does, he’ll explain the process, answer your questions, and make sure you’re comfortable before getting started. Sessions are typically brief, lasting around 8-15 minutes. Dr. Johnson also often offers an initial session at no charge so you can see how you respond before deciding whether to include shockwave therapy in an ongoing care plan. Shockwave therapy is generally a cash-pay service. We’ll discuss fees and your options before moving forward so there are no surprises.
